Instructions: Remove your Transom Saver

To remove the transom saver

Remove transom saver prior to entering the water and place transom saver and steering rod clips in the provided red canvas Moto-Stop bag until next use.

 

Please refer to the owner’s manual for your outboard motor for instructions on raising and lowering the trim limit.

 

  • Unclip the steering rods by grasping the raised portion above the string, rotating downward to release tension, and pulling firmly straight back. 
    • Place steering clips in the red canvas Moto-Stop bag
  • Raise the outboard motor to its upmost position.
  • For two piece removal
    • With one hand hold the bottom piece of the transom saver firmly in place
    • Pull firmly straight up on the top piece in order to break the magnetic connection and remove the top piece.
    • Pull the bottom piece up, over the trim rods and away from the outboard motor.
    • Connect the two pieces and store in the red, canvas Moto-Stop bag
  • For one piece removal
    • Pull firmly straight up on the transom saver, over the trim rods and away from the outboard motor.
    • Store in the red, canvas Moto-Stop bag
  • Lower the outboard motor into its operational position.
